| Our familiar habitats are so-often
taken for granted, that we miss what is actually there, hidden
from our viewing habits. Rachel Jury and Donna Campbell sought
out a 'site' in Glasgow city centre that is usually hidden to
the inhabitants and visitors of the city. They invited six other
poets to join them in creating a response to the site and on
Sunday the 26th of March they performed their work in situ.
The audience were asked to meet at a specified
location and were then taken to the site for the performance.
This one off event was intended as a pilot to test the feasibility
of developing the project the following years.
The event was a great success and generated
a great deal of interest. We look forward to developing
the idea further.
